``I am not yet born; O fill me With strength against those who would freeze my humanity, would dragoon me into a lethal automaton, would make me a cog in a machine, a thing with one face, a thing. ''

- Louis MacNeice 1907-63

The world in which Dalsundria is set is home to many races.  Here I shall list the races I have made available to play to my players.   Some have changed,  some have not.  One thing I suggest is the slow advancement rules.  Demihumans,  after they reach their normal level limit,   may be entitled to additional levels because of high prime requisites,  after this they should be allowed to gain levels at double experience.

Humans: From the rugged folk of Dalsundria, to the proud Horsemen of Myrr, humans can be found everywhere.
Elves:  The elves of Dalsundria are much different than those you might find on other worlds.  The Alfar are a fey race, the elves of legend, mysterious and beautiful.  When mothers tell naughty children stories to scare them into minding the Dockalfen are their hobgoblins.  Weird and unfathomable, they are masters of  the magic of shadows and lies.
Half Elves:  The child of an Alfar and a human often grows to live a life of privilege, loved by most anyone they meet for their great beauty and regal mannerisms.  The cursed spawn of the Dockalfen, however, face a life of hardships.  They will find themselves reviled for their odd appearance, and feared for their heritage.
Gnomes:  The gnomes suffered heavily during the Great Strife.  Most of those that survived have turned to the fervent worship of Baravar Cloakshadow.
Halflings:  Ever since either race can remember, humans and halflings have enjoyed a symbiotic relationship.  When the humans left the mainland for Dalsundria, the small folk followed.
Dwarves:  These stout warriors also suffered heavily at he hands of Berenash's forces during the Great Strife.  However, they did not seek to hide as the gnomes did, they shut themselves in their fortresses.  When they were attacked the struck back with a ardent fury, though few remain today.
Half Orcs:  Products of the War of Braids, many of these half-breeds walk the face of Dalsundria today.  They are often mistrusted and only barely tolerated, but for those who need a little muscle, they are valuable employees.
